The Avago Moonstone™ family comprises of 0.5 Watt, 1 Watt and 3 Watt High Performance, High Power LED light sources. These energy-efficient devices can handle high thermal and high-driving current conditions, with the exposed pad design providing excellent heat transfer from the package to the motherboard. The low-profile package design is suitable for a wide variety of applications, especially where height is a constraint, and is compatible with the SMT reflow soldering process and manual soldering. This will give more freedom and flexibility to the light source designer.
The 0.5 Watt range offers Cool and Warm White LEDs in various colour temperatures, either diffused or non-diffused, with a drive current rating of 150mA. An option of an electrically isolated or non-isolated metal slug is provided throughout.
The 1 Watt range also offers Cool and Warm White in various colour temperatures but includes Red, Amber, Green and Blue, all with a drive current rating of 350mA. Warm White has a high CRI which provides excellent colour perception and visual clarity.
The 3 Watt range offers Cool and Warm White High Power LEDs capable of being driven to 700mA. This allows applications to emit very high light output, up to 161 lumens, and delivers one of the best output performances in the industry.
